Here are some of the records i found this week.
This weeks charts are quickly thrown together because i was busy writing articles. They are my top picks for this week nonetheless and i do like all tracks a lot. Let’s get started:
- Dosem – Coming for You (Original Mix)
A hauntingly beautiful tone surrounded by a classic low mid groove where both elements keeps us on our toes. Definitely peak material.
2. Raw District – In Between (Original Mix)
The second track in this weeks charts comes from Belgium (woohoo) and has coincidentally also a driving groove in the lower mids. Could this be a trend? Or is this something i like especially. Anyway, i love motivational quotes in electronic music and this one says “radiate power”, i like that.
3. TML (US) – Cell Id (Alden Tyrell Remix)
What a pumping Kick drum! I could listen to it for hours. It and the hihats are already fun but the best part of it is the acid line. It’s so twisted and chaotic i just love it.
4. Oliver Lieb – Stream of Pearls (Original Mix)
I just love Oliver Lieb’s productions ever since the 90’s. What can i say, he never misses putting the original 90’s feel back into the music. There’s no chichi and no fat. He doesn’t overproduce and he keeps it beautiful and straight forward and so is this record.
5. Simon Berry – Black Rainbow (Original Mix)
This is what i personally see as a perfec bassline to melody connection. Also to mention the the glitches in the main synth and it’s connection with the delayed percussion. The energy is intensified after the break which i do prefer. Chapeau!
6. Los Reynoso – Deliquesce (Original Mix)
Those who know me know that i love Breakbeats and floating sounds. Well this track has both. There are so many little details in this track which keeps me engaged in listening, that’s probably what i love about this track.
7.Autumn Arctic – Foggy Forest (Original Mix)
As deep as dub Techno can go i’d say. Oh boy this ones so deep and filled with emotion. If it would be a color it would be beautiful grey. If you wanna buy it, buy it at Bandcamp and support the artist.
8. Matthias Schuell – Solarplex (Dahu Remix)
What’s to say? Solid production and exactly what i would expect from Ritter Butzke Studio. There’s nothing really special. I love the sounds, the arrangement and the flow. I will play it at a pool sometimes. 🙂
9. Nic Fanciulli – Understand (Original Mix)
Also nothing special. Solid production, great sample, everything is well crafted but no innovation in sight. Almost boring but it’ll work on the dance floor and that’s why i’ve put it in the charts. He used that beat before…
10. Sopik – Token (D.A.V.E The Drummer Remix)
Happy to see D.A.V.E The Drummer still being around. Got a few of his records in my collection. He delivers… so with this fine Remix. Just listen:
